Why is my WiFi fine in the lounge and useless in the back room?+
Thick Wellington walls. Older homes here are built solid, and a single router in the lounge simply can't push a usable signal through two or three of those walls. Moving the router helps a little; a mesh node or a hardwired access point in the far room fixes it properly.
Is a mesh system better than a WiFi extender?+
Generally yes. A cheap extender halves your throughput and creates a second network your phone clings to at the worst moment. A mesh system keeps one network name and hands you between nodes cleanly. Where we can run a cable to the second node, better again.
Can you cable a home office or a cottage on the property?+
Yes. A buried or conduit-run cable to an outbuilding is far more reliable than hoping WiFi reaches across the yard, and it's the usual answer for a converted garage, a studio or a guest cottage. We terminate it properly with a wall point rather than leaving a cable through a window.
Do you install the fibre line itself?+
The line from the street is the fibre provider's job. Everything inside the house is ours: where the router sits, getting coverage into the rooms that matter, and cabling the points you want hardwired. Most complaints about 'slow fibre' turn out to be the internal network, not the line.
