We install and repair across Wellington and the Cape Winelands. This page sets out where we work, what is different about each area, and roughly how quickly we can get to you.
Wellington and the immediate surrounds
Our base. Same-day or next-day for most faults, and planned installations usually within a few days. Covering Bovlei, Bainskloof, Hermon, Gouda and everything between.
What changes from area to area
The valley floor
Wellington town and Groenheuwel are generally straightforward, though mature trees in the older streets cause more line-of-sight problems than people expect.
Up the slopes and the wine route
Bovlei, Bainskloof and the estates along the valley often need a taller mount or a considered position to clear a ridge. Discreet installation matters more here too, and we route cable accordingly.
Further out
Paarl, Riebeek Valley, Wamakersvallei, Groenheuwel and beyond. We travel for these, usually grouped with other work in the area, so it is worth asking when we are next out that way.

How quickly we can get there
| Area | Typical response | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wellington central | Same or next day | Our base |
| Bovlei, Bainskloof | Same or next day | Close by |
| Hermon, Gouda | Next day usually | Short travel |
| Paarl, Riebeek Valley | Within a few days | Often grouped with other work |
| Further afield | By arrangement | Ask and we will tell you honestly |
Those are realistic expectations, not promises we cannot keep. If we cannot get to you quickly we will say so rather than leave you waiting.
Not sure if you are in our area? Call or WhatsApp 079 754 5527 and we will give you a straight answer, no obligation.
What we see most in each part of the area
Older town streets
Mature trees and line of sight. Often the fix is height rather than a new dish, and occasionally a different position entirely.
Wine estates and guest farms
Discretion matters. Cable routed out of sight, dishes positioned where they are not the first thing a guest sees, and often multiple buildings to serve from one point.
Newer developments
Generally easy installs, though complexes sometimes have rules about roofline equipment. Worth checking before we arrive.
Planning a job outside the immediate area
For the further towns we group work where we can, which keeps travel sensible for everyone. If you are in Riebeek Valley or Wamakersvallei and it is not urgent, ask when we are next out that way. If it is urgent, say so and we will work something out.
Before we arrive
A few things that make the visit faster and cheaper for you:
- Clear access to the roof or the wall where the dish will go
- Know which rooms you want working, and where the TVs will sit
- Have the decoder details handy if you already own one
- Secure any dogs, we say this every time and it matters
- If it is a complex, check whether you need permission for a dish first
After the job
You get the signal readings, an explanation of what was done, and a number that a real person answers. If something is not right a week later, call us and we will come back. That is easier for us than it sounds, because we are working across Wellington and the Cape Winelands most days anyway.
Common jobs by area
A rough sense of what we are usually called out for across the Cape Winelands:
| Area type | Most common job | Second most common |
|---|---|---|
| Wellington central | New installations | Signal repairs |
| Bovlei and Bainskloof | Repairs and realignment | Multi-room setups |
| Holiday properties | Pre-season checks | Extra View and WiFi |
| Complexes and estates | Communal systems | Discreet installations |
| Guest houses | Commercial setups | CCTV and networking |
| Outlying towns | New installations | Aerial and OpenView |
Whole services list, in plain terms
Getting connected
New installation covers dish, LNB, cabling, decoder setup and activation. Relocations moves an existing setup when you change address. OpenView is the no-subscription route, and aerials pick up free local channels.
When something breaks
Signal repairs for no picture, error codes and weather dropouts. Dish alignment when the dish has drifted or was never set correctly.
More than one room
Extra View links rooms on one subscription. Explora and Ultra for recording and streaming. Communal systems for complexes and multi-unit properties.
Beyond television
CCTV with remote viewing, WiFi and network cabling for dead spots and structured points, and TV wall mounting with concealed cable.
For businesses
Commercial DStv for guest houses, restaurants, offices and anywhere the licensing differs from a private home.

Getting hold of us
Call or WhatsApp 079 754 5527. If we are on a roof we will call back. Tell us where you are and what the problem is, and we will give you an honest answer about when we can be there. If we are not the right people for the job we will say that too.
Questions we get asked
Which areas around Wellington do you cover?
We cover Wellington itself plus Bovlei, Bainskloof, Hermon, Gouda, Windmeul, Paarl and the surrounding areas. If you are near that list but not on it, call and ask. We travel for larger jobs and we are often already nearby.
Do you charge extra for travel?
For work in Wellington and the closer areas, travel is built into the quote. For properties further out we will tell you upfront if there is a callout, so it is never a surprise on the invoice.
How fast can you get to an emergency?
For no-signal faults close to base we aim for same-day or next-day. Call early and we will give you an honest answer about when we can be there rather than an optimistic one.
Do you do all your services in every area?
Yes. Installation, repairs, Extra View, OpenView, CCTV, WiFi and aerials are all available everywhere we cover. Larger communal and commercial jobs are scheduled rather than same-day.
Need a hand with this?
We are a quick call or WhatsApp away. Tell us what you are after and we will sort it: neatly, and the first time.
